Goodness it kinda sucks that 08v13 has perished and become nothing more than a memory of us ):

First week of (proper) school's come and gone. And dear God, its kinda sad ): I really miss 08v13! For that matter, I miss IP, miss ending at 3.05, miss having a classroom, miss our 6 sided tables, miss our big classroom, miss our class wall, miss our lockers, miss our teachers, miss LA, miss IH, miss all the lessons we had as a class, miss the couch, miss electives and everything that categorized us as 13, not so much because JC1 sucks (it doesn't, not really anyway), just that IP was so so much better ):

MAN CLASS, I WISH WE COULD BE IP1/2 AGAIN!

So I'm just dropping by to hold on to those last shards of memory that constitutes to having a class and a class that we actually feel like we belong to ): I MISS YOU GUYS x10million infinity, i'm serious!!!!!

Hey class!

January will officially be over in 3h,13 mins! I have no idea why I'm sounding so happy, but yeah.

Anyways, I don't want to see this blog dead, so I shall keep up my one-man attempt in reviving the blog. Let me be the life support keeping the old person alive that everyone hates because all his children can't get his inheritance lol. What a morbid example :P

Orientation! Valora's so going to win, because I'm in it :D anyone hasn't gone up to stage yet? Found it really fascinating to be a freshman, even though technically we're stale :( Really glad alot of us are really enthusiastic about orientation :) :)

okayy we're booking aranda country club for our chalet.:D

ground floor: 7.10 per person and we'll get to use the space outside the chalet, but it's not very big. those who went to the juniors chalet will know :D

second floor: 5.60 per person

Last Words For the Year

Hey class, don't know who is going to check this, so maybe this is more for my own verbal vomit :P

It's been great knowing all of you quirky, crazy, strangely intelligent individuals, and I know deep down that no amount of time in the world would be enough to spend with you guys. Well, at least they've given us 2 years!

Feeling quite empty now after d&d,sitting alone in front of the computer, not knowing what to do. Well, I won't have to worry about you guys anymore, but I actually did enjoy poking my nose into every single thing you did.

Maybe that's why they say that you only cherish the things you don't have, and I'm losing you 08V13 :(

On a happier note, I will be getting unlimited smses next year, and I hereby pledge to continue the flame of this class burning by sending an obligatory sms every once in a while. Please please reply me ok! And, as the eternal CT Rep of 08V13, the duty of visiting every single one of you lies on my shoulders. So, when you get into your new JC classes, we will still have to meet up!

Yes, it might not ever feel the same, but I know that if we keep this going, and WE WILL keep this going, we would have 27 more best friends to keep in contact with for the rest of our lives.

Another thing, we haven't autographed our college photos at all! The only time left to do that is next year, so don't forget what you want to say to everyone :D

Every ending's a new beginning, but I don't really want this to end. It seems like a fairytale so far, getting to know so many different, but unique individuals that can somehow bond together and do all sorts of weird/spastic stuff.

I don't want to leave, because I would have to re-position my image as a spastic CT Rep all over again next year in my new class. Please promise you'll say hi, and I'll be happy :)

All the memories, all the friendships, all the experiences, they're never going to go away :)

Reviving a dead blog!

I went to Pandan Reservoir. It's beautiful at sunset. And I took this photo

I think 13 is like a cup of hot milo. When one is freezing cold (especially in the class of ours!), its warmth spread to the tips of our toes and warms our bellies. 13 is also like a dock in treacherous waters where one finds security and comfort at.

Will always miss you guys! Enjoying the last few weeks with you guys :) We will kick ass at inv!gorate and no matter the outcome, let us hold ourselves accountable to our sportsmanship and teamspirit (that we know our class definitely has) and not let the desire to win override anything.

1. Thaipan this friday during double-break

Don't y'all simply miss the good-old days where we're practically strolling to mandarin gardens for lunch yet end up running like hobos all the way back just to make it in time for class? Heh and not forgetting the butter squid of course!

2. Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince!

Hey guys I'm pretty sure almost everyone will be catching this show right? So could we pretty please make it an official class outing and take loads and loads of pictures? C'mon you've gotta take a break from all the tests {:

3. ECP Cycling

Hohoho don't y'all miss the times whereby i, being the most reckless and uncontrollable one, starts crashin' into all of y'all? C'mon let's relive those moments again! Even i can't wait so what's stopping you? This could be on our in lieu holiday due to college day!

4. We should go to mandarin gardens and play soccer/volleyball/tennis/swim/table tennis/whatever - y'know how we can spend our entire day doing the most retarded stuff yet enjoy ourselves completely B)

Hey guys. I'm seriously bored stuck at home for the past 2 days. about 15 of us have been quarantined at home, because we went for the AYG ushering rehearsal. one of us had been to church camp where there were abt 7 confirmed cases. so now she's being quarantined as well and we'll see if she's ok tonight. only then will we be able to go out TOMORROW. what am i gonna do for the rest of the day? i really don't feel like studying if i can help it XD anyway, i'm waiting for the rain to stop....ok fine there's no point; i cant go out anyway -.- i srsly need a life. like catching a movie or sth? but oh no i may be a carrier.zz. i've been facebooking the past couple of days cuz i guess it's pretty much the closest u can get to the outside world when u're stuck home. no one's ever online tho...oh and for our Chinese test, we need to know the examples of events that happened in the famous ppl's lives and some of their virtues. an example question would be "What is worth learning from person XXX?" the typical kinda chinese question. so yeah. gd luck with that ppl. our test isn't postponed is it?

Hey people! it's the holidays but it's kinda like dry doing work...in fact the only reason im writing this is cuz im procrastinating my zuo wen. Hello 08V13! Wishing you guys a happy holiday in advance!

If you haven't gotten your teddy bear yet, (courtesy of Mr. Teo!!!!) then you can always go back to school to get it :D

So here's the plan:

Firstly, we will have to give Mr. Teo something in return, to thank him for his gifts AND for being such a WONDERFUL chem and civics teacher right!

Any ideas? We can always make him a teddy bear suit or something? Just tag on the board or tell other class people!

Secondly, we NEED TO HAVE CLASS OUTING! Anyone wants to take charge of planning? Whoever wants to plan class outing just tell me or tag ok :D preferably get the plan and the dates out by 2nd week of june so we can go out many many times haha.

Lastly, everyone has a teddy bear, so what happens if we all bring one to school and we mix them up? We wouldn't be able to differenciate! (b/c got no "x" term haha :P)

So....... master plan. Everybody, i mean EVERYBODY goes home, and decorates their bear with anything that represents them! Once we do that, we can all bring our bears to school one day, and have a mega photo taken! It will look really really nice!

So that's all i have for you guys today. Gonna miss calling all you lazy bums to assembly.

Here's me giving a little encouragement to all of you pals out there (cause our full day got eaten by a certain someone! sheesh, as if he doesn't look like he eats enough alr :x, oops!)

Anyway, we're 4.5 weeks left till the end of the term, so HIP HIP HOORAY!

Hey Guys!

just really free and happy right now(cuz i've accomplished lots today -- i ran just now and painted my best painting as of yet:D) so i thought i'd post sth to rejuvenate this languid antiquated blog! yay!! today we left school early then went to Parkway Parade to have berrylite fat free yoghurt haha...the guys didn't eat them.which includes moi cuz we thought it'd diminish our manhood LOL....anyway, i didn't really wanna go and sit aroung wasting time...but i don't regret going as i did in the end thanks to everyone's encouragement (esp buddy:D)! yup so thanks guys! im glad we're so bonded haha! so all the best for our projects and tests to come! we can so totally own them all. it's not like they are the end of the world or anything so dont stress out ppl! btw...is it me or has everyone been real free over the weekend and today?? i havn't gone to tampines 1!!! i hear it's nice??

One fine day, there was a young spear-wielding peasant, and he was farming the land outside the house. BUT, because he made his mom angry the day before, he could not go inside the house OR play with his friends until he had farmed his spear-wielding hands sore.....

1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours went by, then suddenly the little peasant really really felt like peeing! "Ohno, xzoagga wihalsga loakwe noansopee!" which means 'Oh no, I have to go to the loo!' in spear-wielding peasant talk. Just as he was about to put down his farming spear and rush off to the toilet in the house, his mother peered out of the window, gave him the FIERCEST stare ever imaginable to him, and shrieked "You better stay out there, no matter what! I am NOT letting you come in!" So, poor little spear wielding peasant stood out in the field and peed in his pants.

A bunch of wicked bullies happened to pass by as this mysterious spectacle began to unfold, and sure enough, he got his pet name: Wet In My PantS or wimp for short.

Of course, when he returned to school, his little name was immediately picked up, and they called him WIMPS everywhere he went.

After another incident(shall not elaborate today), the council of bullies released a yearly "Loser-esque" magazine, and the title was----"These include WIMPS and CHAMPS, among a host of others."

Tadaa, hope you guys likde that :D

thank you guys so much for today. you all made me cry ;'-) like thrice?! i teared up when you all read out the poem aloud, at cutting the cake, and another time when i was just looking around at all of you.

thank you for the slidehow, the video, the music, the poem, the cake, the pictures, the letters, and precious precious memories.

I must say, it was hard to stand in front of the class and make a sort of farewell speech when i had so many things to say that i didnt know which to say first, and i saw all your faces and realised i didnt have to say much for you guys to understand what i felt.

sometimes, speaking no words actually says more than words spoken.

thank you guys so much, you dont know how much all that means to me. i will carry the memories and friendships forever and always.

thanks for making my heart melt, the tears come, and the bittersweet memories made.

hey guys! i just have something to say to you all, and i really want you guys to hear it.

my last day in school will be next tuesday. but on tuesday, i have drama SYF and will be away, so tuesday morning IP assembly will be the last time i will get to see all of you together as a class with me in it, and coming monday will, in a way, actually be my last full day in your company. and with all of you.

so i just want to say a few things, in case i get choked up next monday and cant get it out properly.

i want to thank every single one of you for making the past year and three months here in IP the best i could ever ask and wish for. i genuinely think, from the bottom of my heart, that we are the most bonded class, and i think v13 will go very very far. together, as a class, and also individually for each and every one of us. we have the potential.

me leaving was in no manner an easy decision. i really have built friendships here that i cant imagine life without, and would now find life without it boring and plain.

it has been nothing short of an honour to be part of this class, and part of all of your lives. you guys are really great people.

i hope i have made your experience in IP, though my time present is short, but nonetheless happy, enjoyable and memorable.

you guys have painted my IP life with so many colours. without you all, i think it would have been in grayscale, in white and black only. so a huge thanks to you all.

i will never forget this class.

Ok, ppl, attendance is not confirmed but should be along : Senior class-20, Our class-27, Junior class-25 adds up to 72 ppl.

We have enough food to feed about 60 ppl from the bbq stuff, plus the fried rice and bee hoon we are making at val's+aish's house, and mel's scones, we can fear NO EMPTY STOMACHS!

Hey One Three!

Congrats to everyone for surviving through what seems like a never ending spell of horrifyingly stressful and tiring weeks! This week's almost over, let's hope next week's better!

Ok things are really starting to get busy with SL, CI starting soon, and of course, tests. Come on 13 lets do our best in lessons and study hard. Take it a day at a time and don't waste any of our precious time:)

Another thing! Please approach Yong Wei if you want or know that you can really do a smashing job in one of the various committees which are in the making!-read as: go talk to Yong Wei about the committees when you have time:)- (class wall idea/project is really starting to shape up!)

Yong Wei here! Answering the previous questions posted. Class communications systems will be done by me, and if you do not understand anything about the committees that I posted earlier, I will clarify now.

Firstly, we have an Outing Committee, which is in charge of planning activities and outings for class. Then, there is the Blog Committee, which is in charge of maintaining the look and postings for the blog. Wall Comm, Feedback Comm, Birthday Comm(sort of like activity but not the same) and many more. I was thinking of putting a notice in class and letting people sign up, but this will be held on Monday after I have told the class more details.

So, for the committees, there will be a switch in the members every month except for the one-time events like Class Wall. So for example Outing Committee in March may consist of Sakif, Shumin and Zhi Yong. They will have to plan a class outing for March, and they will be the ones in charge of arranging the activities and locations. But after March, there will be a new selection(maybe a first-come-first-serve basis? Tell me your opinions on this guys) for the April Committee. This will how it will be for every other committee.

So, please give me your feedback about this idea, or any other committees that we can include.

That will be all from me today. Last note, please please please make it a habit to check this blog at least once a day, and tag to show you were here! This requires all our effort to keep the blog alive, cuz even if a few people keep posting or tagging, it still won't work out!

Hurray for useful posts! Its been so long since I posted on the class blog, I think my guilty conscience beckoned me to post something (useful, hopefully) :)
Just a few things on my mind...

I'm really sorry, and I'm sure I speak for the rest of the OGLs.. that I'm unable to come for the class picnic:( You guys are most certainly gonna have a blast though, so all the best with the planning; and full cooperation and participation from you guys that day is gonna be key k:) If we're lucky I'll use my awesome NINJA skills to very sneakily sneak away like a sneak wearing sneakers, sneakily (cuz thats the only way to wear sneakers after all) and pop by for a visit.
Or you guys can come by on your bikes, grab me from my OG and run (or cycle!) off! Then I can say I was taken by force, and ungainst my own will:) Of course you have to let me say goodbye to my OG first, bcuz they are good and fun people and deserve to be warned before the NINJA power of v13 is unleashed:)
Sounds like a plan right? Right:)

Oh.. and also, lets prioritize (meaning get out deadlines and *IDEAS* as soon as possible) shall we! Some of the top things for us are,
- Class wall
- Communication network
- Different committees (blog, outings, etc..)
- Music (for all our evil purposes.. email to me, Mark please.. yes I will take over the world with YOUR music:) )
- Study groups (please.. if you haven't heard, I have a passive -5 to knowledege, help yourself by helping others :) )
- Class slogan! *last year's was "you're missing out", lets come up with one for this year too!"

Righto.. looks like we're busy busy people, and we're never gonna get these things accomplished if y'all don't give your ideas:) So shoot 'em up v13! Yeh!

hahaha so ive gotten a few requests to put details of our class cip on to the class blog. Cool right, our class is the only class with a class cip. yayness! okay so here are the details:

beneficiary: Adult Education Center

Date of completion: 19th february (20th feb a van will come to pick up all the books)

Objectives: to collect books from students at VJC to start a library at the Adult Education Center. They AEC will need books to fill up shelves at the library of the newly completed compound, after renovation. Through this, we hope to not only provide the students there with learning material to teach them how to read, but also to instil in them a love and passion for books.

Additional information: all kinds of books can be collected.

DUTY ALLOCATIONS:
PUBLICITY

Valerie (leader), Vivian, Charissa and Yiying : put together slideshow for announcements + book slots for announcement on Thursday (IP assembly) and Friday (school assembly).. if possible?

Lynn and Melissa : one page slideshow thingy to screen on plasma screen by Friday.

Aishah (leader), Rachelle, Annabel, Tianyang, Shiyue : making posters + putting them up everywhere. By Friday.

About our plans for the year

Hey class! I was thinking about what you all feedbacked to me today morning, and I decided, since we are a class, so why not involve everyone in doing at least something for the class right?

So here's my brainchild: We can have different committees that are responsible for different activities. Off the top of my head now I can think of Class Wall, Class Picnic, and Class Outing #1, #2, and etc. We also need a Blog Committee!

So, maybe we could do this. I'll write out some paper and put it on the class board, then whoever wants to sign up can write their name. Class comm will then decide on your duties and stuff and tell you later.

Next, please give your FULL SUPPORT to Josiah, the main IC for the class picnic, and let's all do our part to make it a blast! Thanks to Shumin too for volunteering to head the discussions!

Just to clarify, for the outings, mainly class comm will take charge, but for each outing there will be the committee planning the location, activities and food ok? So it's really up to the committee of that outing to plan it well!

Anything you do not understand,please feel free to approach me or any of the class comm(after I have briefed them of course :p)

Finally, Yong Wei promises to be more FIERCE and comtrol his temper! If you can point out my mistakes and remind me constantly, got prizes one! Haha, GOOOOOOOO V13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heylo all!

The details for our class chalet have been confirmed so here's what you need to know:

1. Class chalet from 8-9th january, 2days1night.

2. We are meeting at the vjc bus stop (the one outside neptune court) at 12pm on the 8th january.

3. We are then having lunch with our juniors at thaipan (no worries it's not stj).

4. We will then check in to our chalet (aloha loyang seaview terrace 4) around 3pm.

5. We will be playing till dinner, so bring your necessary stuff.

6. Dinner will be order-in pizza and we are treating our seniors then (plus any junior who's still staying).

7. Stayover is for 08v13 members but open to both seniors and juniors as well yup!

8. Check-out timing on the 9th january around 10am.

About The Class Chalet

Hey, for the people that check this blog and are going for the chalet, is it ok if we invite the juniors AND the seniors over for possibly lunch and dinner? Norman says that an STJTS doesn't count if the juniors and seniors are there at the same time :D So if they are coming, the plan would be something like this- Meet for lunch, icebreakers, activities(possibly cycling or what not), then dinner, which would naturally be our treat. Maybe steamboat, or sth that can accomodate 60 people(tentative). So, pls tell me your opinions through tagboard, posting, or sms. Just to let you know, even if the juniors and seniors are coming, they will NOT be staying over unless majority demands it. So, this will ensure that we have sufficient bonding time :DDDDDD I am also sorry to say that David, Fred, Fiana, and Bruce will not be able to make it for the chalet :( Please get back to me asap as I have to chain-mail the juniors!

CLASS!!!!!! Do YOU, yes YOU, want to have a joint outing with the juniors? WE could cycle, have lunch, and talk cock! Woots! So me and ZY were thinking of planning one of the saturdays before school starts or maybe in Jan to have an outing. Is anyone in? because we need to see how many people there are, to actually start calling the juniors. So, pls tell me and ZY preferably by next week!

STJTS and other stuff!

Hey, after incessant pestering from norman( XD), STJTS is on next year k? It means we have to treat the seniors AND the juniors, but I guess that's ok with you guys right? :D And I have set a tentative date: 13 Feb 2009 which is a Friday, so we could have another chalet then IF you want. Things to do during the STJTS: presents? bbq, talk, dance around a fire :P.

Yep, so if people have any suggestions about the date(maybe too late or too early) pls tell me, because it will be kinda late to discuss this next year.

And class!!! We need to start planning our activities for next year now! It's going to be our last year togther(sorry for reminding you:o )so we gotta do lotsa stuff! So before school starts, I shall be extra and start spamming with a list of stuff we can do next year. Pls contribute, on the tagboard or posts :) I know v11 is having a christmas party and stufff like that, but it's kind of late for us to do that now, unless super VIVIANG does something about it! hinthint. Yep, but next year we can have Easter parties or sth man, whateer you can think about. The sky's the limit!

Aye, it's been a long time since I posted.

Firstly, happy hols!
May you have fun in between homework and ccas and stuff! Next year is gonna be an exciting year so we gotta rest well. Read between the lines i.e. alot of work and projects
But busyness=funfunfun because we have frens we can count on and we will be together again!
yay i hope tbt will be our Civics tutor again.
